Sculpture
My pieces are bronze and copper constructions- welded, forged, machined and oxidized with hot process patinas. I observe the reaction of a few basic chemical formulas on prepared bronze surfaces in the presence of heat. I can see a natural progression from perfecting surface treatments to deconstructing and burning patinas I once considered finished.
Found objects- antique trade beads, metal wheels, copper chain are sometimes utilized in the completed piece.
